Yesterday, 31-year-old rapper Nicki Minaj took to Instragram to finally show us her natural hair. The rapper’s typical signature look is wearing all types of crazy, colorful wigs, and she’s known for rocking them all. It’s rare that you ever see her with the same hairstyle, let alone color. We’ve seen her with bleach blonde hair, pink bobs and even some rainbow looks. Nicki finally showed us what she’s really working with under all those crazy looks.
The Instagram picture shows the rapper’s real hair in a tight ponytail. She’s holding it up to show off how long, straight and healthy her hair really is. The caption of the photo reads “No perm. No extensions.” She looks absolutely stunning!
According to Hollywood Life, the rapper loves switching up her look so she wears the wigs to achieve whatever hairstyle she wants. Nicki is known for having tons of different characters, voices and names, so it makes sense that she would change up her look all the time with wigs so she doesn’t cause any damage to her beautiful, natural hair. Her personality definitely shines when she wears certain wigs and over-the-top outfits, showing how much of a risk taker the rapper is.
This isn’t the first glimpse we’ve gotten of her natural hair. Late in 2012, Nicki chose to post a picture of somebody holding her natural hair in a ponytail on her twitter. It was hard to tell how great it looked, though, since her face wasn’t in the picture.
Now we’ve gotten a full shot of Nicki sporting her natural locks and she looks amazing! Pictures followed of the star in what seems to be one of her famous outfit choices, nipple pasties. But she still rocked her natural hair through it all! Do you think Nicki should keep her natural locks for a while, or go back to sporting those crazy wigs we know and love?
