Be prepared to head back to jail. Netflix announced the highly anticipated second season return of Orange Is the New Black will take place on Friday, June 6.
After the House of Cards second season debuted on Feb. 14, Netflix worked in the premiere date of Orange Is the New Black by placing it at the end of the political drama reported E! News. Netflix also treated its fans to another Valentine’s Day gift by releasing the first teaser trailer for the show’s second season.
House of Cards was the first show Netflix premiered in programing however Orange Is the New Black received much acclaim finishing first in the HitFix’s Best New TV Show poll according to HitFix.
Orange Is the New Black follows the story of Piper Chapman who is sentenced to 15 months in prison after being found guilty for transporting money for her drug-dealing girlfriend about 10 years prior. Actress, Taylor Schilling, plays Chapman. Laura Prepon will return as Chapman’s ex-girlfriend, Alex.
The second season will be available to Netflix subscribers on June 6 featuring 13 episodes.
