If there ever is going to be an international meeting place for Parks and Recreation fans, it would have to be in Paris, where Ben and Leslie had a nice getaway during the show’s 100th episode. There, fans would hopefully see the lock the characters left on the Pont des Arts, which should be there forever. Well, it would be there forever if some jerk didn’t steal it.

A big fan of the show on Tumblr said that she happened to be in Paris and went on a search for the lock. Unfortunately, she found that someone had actually cut the wire to steal the lock, which had read “LESLIE AND BEN” with a heart drawn on it.

“Whoever you are, super hardcore Parks fan, you kinda suck,” the blogger wrote.

According to Entertainment Weekly, members of the cast and crew noticed and they’re not happy either. Co-creator Michael Schur took to Twitter to ask for the lock to be returned. “That stinks,” he wrote. “Please bring it back.”

Adam Scott, who plays Ben Wyatt, just called it “sh**ty.”

Parks and Recreation has a loyal fanbase, even if most of the country isn’t watching it every time it’s on (you should be). The show did get renewed for a seventh season and Amy Poehler, who plays Leslie Knope, won a Golden Globe for her performance.

Chris (Rob Lowe) and Ann (Rashida Jones) both left this season and now the lock is gone. We’ll just have to hope Ron Swanson (Nick Offerman) still has that extra stash of bacon.
