The third season of Dallas will return to TNT this Monday.
The original, Dallas, ran from 1978 to 1991. The new version of the show started in 2012, and it features the next generation of the Ewing family. The new show stars Josh Henderson, Jordana Brewster, and Julie Gonzalo. The presence of the character, J.R. Ewing, is still felt in the most recent incarnation of the show.
Larry Hagman, who originally played J.R., died at age 81 in November, 2012. Jordana Brewster, plays Elena Ramos on the show. She said that reminders of J.R. and Hagman are everywhere in the new series.
Patrick Duffy is playing J.R. Ewing’s brother, Bobby Ewing, in the series. Duffy told the Associated Press, "His character was such a larger-than-life being that we still reference him on the show. And a lot of the plot devices that we're dealing with, we attribute to the character of J.R.: `Oh my God, if it hadn't have been for that, then this wouldn't have happened. Damn him.' But there he is. He's omnipresent and that's good."
According to the show’s website, the new season will premiere on Feb. 24 on TNT.
