CNN has just announced that they're canceling Pier Morgan's show after three years. Piers Morgan took over after Larry King retired.

According to The New York Times, Morgan's ratings have been steadily dropping. CNN's president, Jefferey Zucker decided to end the show and the last show will air sometime in March.

Piers Morgan Live has been on air for three seasons.

"It's been a painful period and lately we have taken a bath in the ratings," Morgan says. "Look, I'm a British guy debating American cultural issues, including guns, which has been very polarizing and there is no doubt that there are many in the audience who are tired of me banging on about it."

Morgan is known for his anti-gun stance and he has debated with many pro-gun groups and individuals about the issue.

Earlier this month, Morgan got into a Twitter war with transgender advocate, Janet Mock and her supporters.

Morgan had many guests on his show including, Oprah Winfrey, Beyonce and Charlie Sheen.

According to E!Online, Morgan will be staying on CNN, but it is still being decided on what he will be doing for the network.

Morgan says, "I think I can credibly do news and the ratings reflect that, but it is not really the show that I set out to do."
