Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton’s younger sister Pippa Middleton became a household name after the royal wedding in 2011. She was lauded for her backside, which many believed looked great in her white bridesmaid dress. Since then, she’s been widely discussed in the media but she has remained silent – until now.

Middleton spoke about being known for her backside, giving a public speech for the first time on behalf of the Women in Advertising and Communications London group Tuesday at the Savoy Hotel.

"As I have found out, recognition has its upside, its downside and - you may say - its backside," she told the audience, Us Weekly reports.
The 30-year-old author displayed her good-humored nature and joked the dress fit "a little too well.”

A guest, one of 400, told The Mirror no one was expecting Middleton to be so open for her first public speaking engagement.

“It was the first time she’s made a speech of this kind but you wouldn’t have known it, she was so relaxed. It was unbelievable how open she was – I don’t think anyone was expecting that,” said the source.

“She talked about the royal wedding and her career since. She came across as really grateful for the opportunities but also talked about the pitfalls of her position.”

Middleton admitted she was so nervous ahead of her sister’s wedding to Prince William that she didn’t sleep for two nights.
