USA's hit comedy, Psych will be ending after this current season. The show is currently in it's eight season and the final eposide will air on March 26th.
The series will feature an hour long finale. The finale will be followed by a special after show which will feature a Q & A with the cast and show creatives, Variety reported.
Chris McCumber, President of USA Network spoke about the impact that Psych has had on television. "Psych’ has made an indelible imprint on the television landscape, with a unique brand of comedy, The final season celebrates the iconic characters that have made this show so beloved, and will be an exclamation point on the series’ incredible run," said McCumber.
Psych debuted back in July 2006 and the show has seen strong ratings ever since. The show stars James Roday and Dule Hill as a longtime friends who work for the Santa Barbara police department. Roday has special skills that allow the department to believe that he is a psychic.
Even though Psych will be ending the possibility of a spin-off is already being discussed, The Hollywood Reporter added. "While the series will wrap in March somehow I don’t believe we’ve heard the last of Shawn and Gus," said McCumber.
