Female rapper Lil’ Kim has revealed she’s expecting her first child. The 39-year-old debuted her baby bump at The Blonds Fashion Week on Wednesday night in New York City.
"I'm so excited! I'm a few months along, I can't wait to be a mom!" she told Us Weekly at the event. She also said becoming a first-time mother won’t hinder her career plans.
"I'm still going to work," she said. "I'm still going to be hardcore. The baby has made me even more of a beast!"
Lil’ Kim hasn’t revealed who the father of her child is, but she famously dated the late Notorious B.I.G. She performed her song “Lighters Up” at the event and paid tribute to him.
"It's also going to be Biggie's birthday and the anniversary of his death soon so we [as she points to her belly] love you,” told the crowd.
USA Today reports that as recent as last year, she was linked to boxing champ Floyd Mayweather.
Lil' Kim has made headlines in recent years for her feud with another female rapper, Nicki Minaj.
