Phaedra Parks now has even more drama in her life than what is featured on her reality show.
Her husband, Apolla Nida, surrendered to authorities on Friday, and has now been charged with bank fraud and identity theft, according to AccessAtlanta.com.
A U.S. secret service agent claimed Nida used real names to create fake companies and bank accounts in order to funnel stolen U.S. Treasury checks and auto loan proceeds into the accounts.
According to the New York Daily News, Gayle St. Julien, an alleged accomplice, implicated Nida.
St. Julien, who was was arrested in September, reportedly told authorities that Nida orchestrated many of their illegal activities, and that he obtained more money than she did because of it.
This is not the first time Nida has had a brush with the law, having been imprisoned from 2004 to 2009 for breaking federal racketeering laws related to auto title fraud.
Nida has been granted a pre-trial bond of $25,000, and has a preliminary hearing set for February 12.
Nida and Parks, who is an attorney herself, married in 2009 and have two children together.
