Singing sensation Robin Thicke is putting in a lot of effort in order to save his marriage with actress Paula Patton. Earlier this week the pair announced that they were separating after eight years of marriage.

TMZ reports how Thicke was surprisingly open about his intentions to do everything possible to restore his marriage with Patton. Patton called Thicke last week to inform him that they marriage was a done deal, yet Thicke flew to Canada, where Patton is shooting a movie to try and get her to change her stance on ending their marriage. Reportedly, Patton and Thicke's marriage came to a close after Thicke's infamous VMA performance with Miley Cyrus last August. However, Thicke has denied that the performance has nothing to do with the trouble that is happening in his marriage to Patton.

According to the New York Daily News, since Thicke and Patton announced their separation this week, Thicke has canceled numerous concert dates, but yet he appreciates all the support his fans have been showing him. On his website Thicke writes, "I want to thank everyone for the well wishes these last few days." Rumors about why Thicke and Patton's marriage has come to and end are due to his reported cheating with other women.
