Selena Gomez’s fans were shocked to hear that she had secretly checked into a rehab center in Arizona last month. The “Come & Get It” singer, 21, is now thanking them for their support throughout this difficult time.
Posting a photo of herself on a boat, the singer wrote on Instagram, “I've done everything I could to the best of my ability. Thank you for the unconditional love and cyber hugs. You inspire me.”
A rep for Gomez confirmed to People earlier this month about her 2-week rehab stint in January, "Selena voluntarily spent time at Meadows but not for substance abuse.”
As we previously reported, Gomez canceled the Australian leg of her Stars Dance tour in December to take time for herself.
Close friends and family were reportedly getting worried about Gomez’s partying habits and sources say she was experimenting with both marijuana and prescription drugs. Gomez was also reportedly heartbroken over her messy break-up with the troubled Justin Bieber.
