Sharon Stone seems to be one of those timeless beauties who has aged as gracefully as a woman can. However, the veteran actress has opened up about the process and how she finally came to terms with it.
She admitted that it’s been difficult for her, saying she had a really hard time with it in her 40s. Now 55, she’s telling Shape’s March issue she’s accepted it.
“It hasn't been easy,” she said. “There was a point in my 40s where I went into the bathroom with a bottle of wine, locked the door, and said, 'I'm not coming out until I can totally accept the way I look right now.'"
"I examined my face in the magnifying mirror, and I looked at my body, and I cried and cried and cried," she continued. However, she hit a point where she faces the music.
"I said to myself, 'You're going to get old now. How do you want to do that?' And I thought, 'I'd like to age like a dancer.' I want to keep my body in shape like that. I want to do the work. I like to dance and stretch. And I like going to the gym,” she said.
This led her to find out what works for her, which is cutting out alcohol and finding foods that work for her. Stone said she eats a lot of steak because she has "very low cholesterol and low blood pressure,” as well as fish, People reports.
All in all, “I like clean food prepared as simply as possible.”
Stone has a few films in pre-production and she has a long list of classic roles on her resume such as Basic Instinct, Casino, and Catwoman.
