Olympic snowboarding star Shaun White injured his wrist during a training run on Tuesday.

According to the Associated Press, White's most recent injury came when he fell and jammed his left wrist on the Olympic slopestyle course.

"A little intimidating," he called the course after the day's training session. "It's been a challenge."

White is not the only athlete to have fallen victim to coming off the course with bumps and bruises. Male and female athletes alike have been all been taking their licks on the menacing course.

Slopestyle is a highly popular event at the Winter X Games. The goal is to perform a variety of difficult tricks while getting the highest amplitude off jumps.

USA Today notes that the event is set to make its Olympic debut in Sochi and White is the only American to be competing in both the slopestyle and halfpipe.

The 27-year-old said that his wrist should be fine in time for the event. His ailing right shoulder and ankle, however, will have to be better than fine when he starts his pursuit of winning yet another Olympic Gold Medal.
