Shayne Lamas-Richie, winner of the 12th season of The Bachelor, has unfortunately suffered a miscarriage. Despite all the rumors, she is not currently in a coma and never was. Lamas was 16 weeks pregnant with her second child. Her and family are extremely upset over this incident, but they're just happy she’s okay. Her and husband, Nik Richie, have a daughter, Press, who is two years old.

According to TMZ, the paramedics were called Sunday night after she collapsed in their home in Orange County, California. She was immediately taken to the hospital. Doctors reportedly determined that she had internal bleeding around her uterus, and specialists were called in to perform surgery. She lost her unborn child during this emergency surgery.

Rumors were going around that she was in a coma, but these appear to not be true at all. Her father, Lorenzo Lamas, told People today after these reports broke that, “We are so grateful that my daughter, Sayne Lamas-Richie, is conscious and stable. She is not in a coma, however she did miscarry the child she was carrying. We are so very grateful to the hospital personnel and the doctors who saved her life last night.” He then went on to say how much her family and husband love her and that they are there for her through this all.

Her reps also reported to People, saying that, “Shayne is not in a coma. She knows what happened to her and she is upset. She was very ill last night. The ER doctors saved her life.” She will be remaining in the hospital until the doctors believe she is ready to be released.

Her husband tweeted early this morning, “I love you @ShayneDahlLamas.” He also posted a heartwarming message about him taking some time off work and his love for his wife on his website, The Dirty. “I’m going to take some personal days off from the blogging world. Unfortunate things happen to good people,” he wrote. “I’m not the best person in the world, but I love my wife and my family. Shayne is my good person. She is my support and my smile. I found you and I never want to let you go. We will overcome.”

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Lamas and Richie families. We hope for a quick and healthy recovery.
