The Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics are coming to a close. With only Four days of events left, here is the current medal count at the end of today.
Norway leads the pack with 20 medals, 9 of which are Gold. Today they earned a Gold in the Biathlon: Mixed 2x6+2.7.5 km Team Relay, and a Gold from Marit Bjoergen and Ingvild Flugstad Oestberg in Cross-Country: Ladies' Team Sprint Classic.
The United States now has 23 medals, 7 of which are Gold. They earned a Gold from Ted Ligety in Alpine Skiing:Men's Giant Slalom, a Silver from Elana Meyers and Lauryn Williams, and a Bronze from Aja Evans and Jamie Greubel in Women's Bobsleigh.
Russia now has 22 medals, 6 of which are Gold. They earned a Silver from Maxim Vylegshanin and Nikkita Kriukov in Cross Country: Men's Team Sprint Classic, a Bronze from Alena Zavarzina in Ladies' Snowboarding, and a Gold from Vic Wild in Men's Snowboarding.
The Netherlands now has 22 medals, 6 of which are Gold. They earned a Silver from Ireen Wust and a Bronze from Carien Kleibeuker in Speed Skating: Ladies' 5000 m.
Switzerland now has 10 medals, 6 of which are Gold. They earned a Gols from Patrizia Kummer in Ladies' Snowboarding, and a Silver from Nevin Galmarini in Men's Snowboarding.
Canada now has 18 medals, 5 of which are Gold. They earned a Gold from Kaillie Humphries and Heather Moyse in Women's Bobsleigh.
France now has 11 medals, 3 of which are Gold. They eaarned a Silver from Steve Missillier and a Bronze from Alexis Pinturault in Alpine Skiing: Men's Giant Slalom.
Sweden now has 11 medals, 2 of which are Gold. They earned a Bronze in both Cross Country: Men's Team and Cross-Country: Ladies' Team.
The Czech Republic now has 8 medals, 2 of which are Gold. They earned a Silver in Biathlon: Mixed 2x6+2x7.5 km Team Relay, and a Gold from Martina Sablikova in Speed Skating: Ladies' 5000 m.
Slovenia now has 7 medals, 2 of which are Gold. They earned a Bronze from Zan Kosir in Men's Snowboarding.
