Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran have been friends both on stage and off for a few years now. Sheeran recently joined Swift as an opening act on her sold out Red tour and the two became fast friends.

Swift took to social media today to wish Sheeran a Happy Birthday. Sheeran turns 23 today.

Swift posted this picture on her Twitter account in which Sheeran is wearing a white button shirt with a black sweater draped over his shoulders, Entertainment Wise reported.

Also seen in the photograph is Taylor Swift's younger brother, Austin.

Buzzyworthy also wished the "A Team" singer a happy birthday with a whole page of cat meme's dedicated to the singer-songwriter.

Swift and Sheeran are both working on new albums and material. The duo teamed up for "Everything Has Changed" off of Red, but they will not be recording another single for Swift's follow up to Red.

Swift and Sheeran were recently seen in the U.K. as Swift was looking for an additional home, the two got drinks together at a local pub and posed for pictures with fans that later surfaced on social media.
