The 2014 NFL draft is becoming well-known for the depth in its quarterback class. Texas A&M's Johnny Manziel is receiving most of the headlines as the quarterback prospects await the draft.

Louisville's Teddy Bridgewater refuses to admit that he isn't deserving of the No. 1 pick in the draft though. FOX Sports reports Bridgewater told a frenzy of Combine interviewers that he is the best quarterback in this year's draft class.

Bridgewater vowed to back up his words on the field, saying that he will not "just sit up here and say it", according to Ultimate Texans. He has gained nine pounds in an effort to build muscle as he enters the pros. His goal weight is in the range of 220 to 225 pounds.

Bridgewater showed potential as a franchise quarterback in the 2013 college football season, passing for 3,970 yards with 31 touchdown passes and only four interceptions. He also completed 71 percent of his passes.

Bridgewater capped off his season with a memorable performance in the Russell Athletic Bowl, where he threw for 447 yards and three touchdowns while completing 78 percent of his passes in a 36-9 win.

The draft will begin on May 8 as Bridgewater hopes to get taken first overall.
