After much anticipation over the confirmation of another season, stars Stephen Amell and Emily Bett Rickards took to Twitter Thursday to confirm the news of another season of Arrow.
At the TCA winter press tour at the end of January, CW president Mark Pedowitz hinted that renewal was imminent for the the comic book series. The Flash, originally intended to be a spin-off of Arrow, is also getting it's own epic launch. "Rather than try to squeeze in a spinoff, [we thought] let's try to make it a bigger pilot, so if we do launch a new series, let's launch it with a bang like we did with 'Arrow,'" Pedowitz told Zap2It.
Other CW favorites like Supernatural and Reign are looking good for their renewal chances, while shows like Hart of Dixie and the Sex & The City prequel, The Carrie Diaries have to wait until May to hear their fate.
The renewal of the series was never really doubted, as Arrow has garnered a massive fan base, mostly done through the way the actors interact personally with their fans. Comicbook.com reports that the network places an large amount of faith in their lead to keep fans hyped about the show, often giving Amell press images to post to his personal Facebook page before posting on the official page.
Arrow airs on The CW Wednesdays at 8/7c and will return with new episodes on February 26.
