In the midst of all the New York Rangers glory, Stanley Cup champion, Alex Kovalev made an appearance at this Tuesday night game.
In the third period, Derrick Brassard scores his 10th goal of the season at 1:58 in the third period, making the game 4-1. At 18:24, Brad Richards secures another goal, making it 5-1.

At 3 p.m. on Friday, an NHL roster freeze will go into effect for the Olympics, according to nydailynews.com. Callahan is hoping his contract will be renewed with the Rangers after his performance—if not, he will be on the market, starting July 1st.
The Rangers will host the Edmonton Oilers at Madison Square Garden, at 7 p.m on Thursday.
