A new CEO has been selected at the next CEO of the International Tennis Hall of Fame & Museum. Former professional tennis player, Todd Martin was announced as the new CEO on Tuesday.

“It is an honor to be charged with preserving the rich history of our sport and to celebrate the people who have created its greatest moments,” he said according to Associated Press.

Current CEO, Mark L. Stenning will be stepping down after 14 years in September. Stenning has been with the organization for 35 years reported the International Tennis Hall of Fame & Museum.

For the time being, Martin will begin his position as the CEO-designate on April 1 and will become the CEO on Sept. 5 when Stenning officially steps down.

As a professional tennis player, Martin reached the career high ranking of No. 4 in the world. He won eight singles titles and four doubles titles. In 1994, Martin was the finalist at the Australian Open and reached the finals in the 1999 U.S. Open. Martin played on the U.S. Davis Cup team from 1994 until 2002, helping the team win the title in 1995.
