According to the AV Club, the series follows Middleditch as the CEO of a fledgling tech start-up called Pied Piper in Palo Alto.

Although there have been some attempts to satirize the tech industry of Northern California including Amazon Prime's original series Betas.

Creator Mike Judge has done his share of strong workplace comedy, including Office Space and King of the Hill, and this first teaser trailer shows promise. Despite the short length, the trailer contains a few laughs that should interest viewers, particular fans of Judge's past films and shows.
