Bachelorette, Trista Sutter, gave support for the idea of having a gay bachelor on the show after comments given by current Bachelor star, Juan Pablo Galavis, caused controversy in January.
The fan-favorite bachelorette was promoting her partnership with Viva Vantage when she was quoted to be all for a season of The Bachelor featuring a gay man, according to E! News.
“I think it’s always up to the producers, so it's whatever they decide. I'm always going to be a loyal fan. No matter who is at the home, you know, I think everyone deserves love,” Sutter said.
Sutter, who found love on the show in 2003 with husband Ryan Sutter, emphasized equality. She believes everyone should find love “regardless of race, gender [or] sexual preference,” according to Digital Spy.
When it comes to Galavis, who is currently facing heat from the media, Sutter had some advice.
"I think it's just about being considerate," she said. "You know, and realizing that when you're speaking out about anything that you get asked, just being considerate and realizing that you aren't just having a private conversation. What you say could be heard by thousands, millions of people. And just making sure that you're always conscious of that."
Looks like Galavis could learn a thing or two from this wise woman.
