The Sochi Winter Olympics closed out on Sunday, which went out on a soft note as the rain-delayed Daytona 500 was pushed into primetime and stole viewers away.

The closing night of the Olympics were a dramatic drop from the previous games in Vancouver, with the 18-49 demographic slipping 40 percent to a low 3.3 rating and viewership down 29 percent to 15.3 million viewers, according to The Hollywood Reporter. NBC also got a 2.6 demo rating and 12.6 million viewers for special Nancy and Tony. For the night, early returns give the network a 2.9 in the demo and an average of 13.5 million viewers.

Fox was somewhat competitive in primetime thanks to the delayed Daytona 500 and the network averaged 7 million viewers and a 2.2 demo rating.

On CBS, The Amazing Race premiered to a low 1.6 in the demo and 60 Minutes only averaged a 1.2 in the 18-49 demo, reports HitFix. For the night, CBS averaged 5.52 million viewers and a 1.0 in the demo.

ABC was content to air only encores of The Proposal and Castle, with the network managing an average of 5.105 million viewers and a 1.3 in the demo.
