Though the Sochi Winter Olympics are dominating the TV ratings, the numbers continue to dip slightly lower from the 2010 Vancouver Games.
Though NBC was against only encore episodes from the other major networks on Friday, the numbers still hit a new low for the current Olympics, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The peacock network managed a 4.5 in the 18-49 demographic and 19.1 million viewers. Numbers might not have been helped by it both being Friday and Valentine's Day.
ABC did attract some viewers with its encores, doing well enough to average a 1.1 in the demo and 4.33 million viewers. The alphabet network played Be My Valentine, Charlie Brown, which was good enough for a 1.0 demo rating. Shark Tank also did decently for an encore with a 1.2 rating and 20/20 ended the night with a 1.1 demo rating.
CBS took third with a 0.9 rating in the 18-49 demo, but topped ABC in viewership with 5.41 million viewers, reports HitFix. The network opted to just show three Hawaii Five-0 repeats for Friday night.
Fox averaged a miniscule 0.6 in the demo and 2.37 million for the evening off the backs of encores of its normal Friday night offerings. The CW went with repeats of Whose Line Is It Anyway and The Originals and averaged a 0.2 in the demo and 674,000 viewers.
