Monday saw NBC completely dominate over the other major networks in the ratings, with all others suffering drops.
For the night, NBC averaged a 6.4 in the important 18-49 demographic and an average of 22.16 million viewers all thanks to the Sochi Winter Olympics, reports HitFix. Other nights were slightly impacted for networks airing against Olympic coverage, but Monday was the first day where severe drops were seen.
ABC came a distant second with a 1.9 in the demo and only 6.29 million viewers. The Bachelor struggled against the Olympics, dropping to a series tying low with 2.3 in the demo. The alphabet network then aired an encore of Jimmy Kimmel Live: Matt Damon Returns, which pulled in a 1.0 rating.
Fox saw new series low in its two shows for the night, according to The Hollywood Reporter, with the network only averaging a 1.6 in the 18-49 demo and 5 million viewers. Almost Human hit a new low with a 1.5 rating and The Following was right on its tail with a 1.7 in the demo.
CBS only aired a new episode of Intelligence, which slipped to a 1.3 demo rating. For the evening, the network pulled in a 1.3 in the demo and 5.99 million, with repeats of How I Met Your Mother and 2 Broke Girls starting the night off.
The CW also saw predictable drops, with the network averaging 900,000 viewers and a 0.3 in the demo. Hart of Dixie and Beauty and the Beast both dropped to series lows with a 0.3 rating for both.
