Dylan Farrow, the daughter of Mia Farrow and Woody Allen, is now speaking up about the rumored sexual abuse her father gave her as a child in a written letter.

According to People Magazine, the now 28-year-old was seven when she came forward to her mother that her adoptive father, Allen, was sexually abusing her.

Allen covered up the allegations claiming that Mia Farrow was angered over the news of he and their adoptive daughter, Soon-Yi Farrow, were having an affair. The two are now married.

In 1993, after a tough custody battle, Farrow was awarded custody of the children and denied any visitation rights to Dylan.

Since then, there has been allegations that she was inappropriately treated by her abusive father but now it is coming out that it was much worse than people think.

In a new letter to The New York Times, she describes the pain and suffering that she went through as a child growing up with the recent Golden Globe lifetime achievement award winner.

“He got away with what he did to me haunted me as I grew up,” she said. “I was terrified of being touched by men. I developed an eating disorder. I began cutting myself.”

She states, “That torment was made worse by Hollywood. All but a few (my heroes) turned a blind eye… Each time I saw my abuser’s face – on a poster, on a T-shirt, on television – I could only hid my panic until I found a place to be alone and fall apart.”

However, Farrow is now married and living with a new name in Florida and is speaking out about the abuse saying, “I was thinking, if I don’t speak out, I’ll regret it on my death bed.”
