Allegations of sexual assault came out Saturday towards Woody Allen in a letter that was published online on The New York Times.
Dylan Farrow, adopted daughter of Mia Farrow and Woody Allen, wrote the story to detail her memories as a child to the public. The letter was written on Times writer Nicholas Kristof’s blog for the paper.
“Woody Allen was never convicted of any crime,” Farrow wrote. “That he got away with what he did to me haunted me as I grew up.”
According to CBS News, Allen has denied the allegations since he was initially accused back in 1992. This was just after it came out that Allen was having an affair with Soon-Yi Farrow Previn, Mia Farrow’s other adopted daughter. The two married in 1997 after Mia Farrow and Woody Allen broke up.
“Woody Allen is a living testament to the way our society fails the survivors of sexual assault and abuse,” Farrow stated in her letter.
According to the NY Post, the letter came shortly after Allen was honored at the Golden Globes. Allen’s biological son, Ronan Farrow, tweeted his own comments during the show.

Allen has yet to comment on Farrow’s letter.
