The 3-year-old smooth-talking toddler, Mateo Beltran, who warmed the hearts of millions in a viral YouTube video in which he’s seen negotiating with his mom about having a cupcake, appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show this week and finally got that cupcake.
In true DeGeneres fashion, however, she gave him much more than the cupcake he was begging for.
Beltran appeared on the show his mom, Linda – who he was seen calling by her first name as well as “honey” and “babe” in the video – and he got a tower of Batman and Spiderman-themed cupcakes.
E! Online reports his mother, Linda, also got some surprises. DeGeneres presented her with a gift card for a spa weekend, as well as a $10,000 check in conjunction with Shutterfly.
The family has even launched the website MateoWantsaCupcake.com, which sells T-shirts with the slogans "Ok, Linda. Listen, listen, listen...,” "Linda, honey, just listen" and "Linda I'm done arguing with you” on it.
