ABC announced that the network has set its summer schedule, which will include several new scripted offerings amongst the upcoming programs.
The summer schedule will start with the limited series premiere of Kelly Reilly's Black Box on Thursday, April 24, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The series was given the 10 p.m. time slot where popular show Scandal airs during the regular TV season.
The rest of the shows will not begin premiering until mid-to-late May, with the 2014 Billboard Music Awards airing on Sunday, May 18. ABC's new singing competition Rising Star isn't scheduled to hit the small screen until June 22.
The Bachelorette will premiere, reports Deadline on May 19 at as special later time, before airing the following week in its regular spot. Motive will return on Wednesday, May 21.
Starting in June, Jimmy Kimmel will be doing a special Jimmy Kimmel Live: Game Night after each NBA Finals game.
Other summer programs include Extreme Weight Loss (May 27), Bet on Your Baby (May 31), Mistresses (June 2), The Quest (June 19), Wipeout (June 22), NY Med ( June 24), Rookie Blue (July 17), The Astronaut Wives Club (July 24) and Bachelor in Paradise (Aug. 4).
