Spider-Man actor has invited Batkid to the premier of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 after their Oscars feature together was canceled.
We previously reported on the controversy surrounding the cancellation of the scheduled Oscars appearance that would have featured pint-size superhero Batkid , also known as Miles Scott, and Spider-Man actor Andrew Garfield. "Batkid", age 5, has leukemia and dreamed of becoming Batman. The Make-A-Wish Foundation teamed up with San Francisco to transform the city into Gotham, complete with tons of Batman adventures for the mini superhero to go on. Fans were left wondering why the sweet superhero moment was cut from the program, with rumors swirling that Garfield's diva attitude was the reason for the cancellation.
Thankfully, Garfield was not the reason behind the cut and has become a real-life superhero to little Miles Scott. Along with taking Batkid to Disneyland, as we reported , US Weekly now reports that Garfield has personally invited Batkid and his family to the New York City premier of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 . What a sweetheart!
