It’s been rumored that Andrew Garfield refused to do the cut Oscars segment with Badkid, Miles Scott, last Sunday. However, it’s now being reported the Spider-Man star spent the entire day with Scott at Disneyland the next day.

As we previously reported, Badkid’s segment for the Oscars was scrapped at the last minute and even his parents weren’t provided with a reason why.

A Page Six report suggested that it was Garfield who was responsible for the segment being cut, as he refused to do the segment because he didn’t like his lines.

Us Weekly now reports that Garfield felt so badly about the segment being cut that he spent the day with Scott at Disneyland in Anaheim, Calif.

The Page Six report claimed a source said “the Academy was going to make [Miles] an official superhero during the Oscar ceremony...but, in the middle of the dress rehearsal, Garfield decided he didn't like his lines."

A rep for the Academy Awards has released a statement on Scott’s segment being cut, saying "Due to the nature of a live show, hard decisions sometimes must be made which require the Academy to cut segments due to the logistics of production. Andrew Garfield understood that his segment had to be omitted, and he drove to Disneyland on Monday to spend time with 5-year-old Miles Scott (Batkid) and his family."
