Pitch Perfect actress Anna Camp is returning to television. She has just earned the lead role in Damaged Goods, a comedy pilot from Awkward creator Lauren Iungerich.
Damaged Goods will center on the new world of sexual politics in a post-feminist world. The Hollywood Reporter notes that Camp’s character, Nicole, is an attorney who just got offered a promotion. Unfortunately, her boyfriend hoped he’d get it and says they can no longer date if she takes it. The boyfriend will be played by Justin Hartley (Smallville).
According to Deadline, the project is a Warner Bros. TV production. Other members of the cast include Steve Talley and Kellee Stewart.
Camp recently starred in Universal’s surprise hit Pitch Perfect and The Help. She also appeared in How I Met Your Mother, Vegas, True Blood and The Mindy Project. She was initially a series regular on Mindy Kaling’s show, but her role has been reduced to occasional appearances.
