A few weeks ago, Pharrell posted that his now famous hat that he wore at the Grammy awards would be auctioned off for charity on Ebay. The hat was sold to the highest bidder of $44,100. Turns out the hat was purchased by the popular fast food restaurant, Arby's.
The oscar nominated singer took to his Twitter account to thank the bidder who helped his charity One Hand to Another, which is a educational non-profit, USA Today reported.
Thank you to whoever bought my Grammy hat on @eBay for $44,100. Your donation benefits From One Hand To AnOTHER.
The restaurant chain quickly replied to the tweet and wished Williams luck performing at the Oscars last night.
.@Pharrell You're welcome. We're HAPPY to support a great cause & get our hat back. Good luck at the #Oscars tonight! pic.twitter.com/2oA7qDPX9z

Williams first wore his now signature hat to the GRAMMY awards and many compared the hat to the Arby's official logo. The hat was designed by Vivienne Westwood. When he appeared on the red carpet for the Grammys Arby's even tweeted at Williams asking if they could have the hat back, Billboard reported.
Williams wore another version of his popular hat last night at the Oscars when he performed his nominated best original song, "Happy."
