The Arizona Cardinals are adding more talent to their already very talented secondary.
The Cardinals announced Thursday that they have signed cornerback Antonio Cromartie to a one-year contract, ESPN reports. Cromartie will play alongside star cornerback Patrick Peterson and free safety Tyrann Mathieu.
Cromartie did not have the success he wanted to have in the 2013 season with the New York Jets due to injuries. Before 2013, he was ranked as one of the top 15 cornerbacks in the NFL for a couple of years, according to NFL.com.
In his career Cromartie has a total of 28 interceptions, three touchdowns and has played in three Pro Bowls, according to ESPN. He spent the past four years with the Jets and before that was a solid cornerback for the San Diego Chargers.
If Cromartie can stay healthy and play like he did before the 2013 season, this will be a great pick up for the Cardinals and make their defense very tough to score points on.
