Second-time Jeopardy champion, Arthur Chu, has been defeated.
On Wednesday, Chu finished in third place winning nothing after a 12 day reign, The Associated Press reports.
His total winnings were $297,200 and seen as “A great run” by host Alex Trebek.
After losing his entire bankroll of $6,400 on the question, “He was the last male monarch who had not previously been Prince of Wales,” Diana Peloquin of Ann Arbor, Mich. was the only one who could answer, “Who is George VI?”
Chu, who is a 30-year-old resident of Broadview Heights, Ohio, described himself as a “mad genius, comedian, actor and freelance voiceover artist” on his Twitter page.
He also was the subject of controversy by playing the quiz show game aggressively with tricks including claiming the bottom rows were filled with Daily Doubles.
“On the Media” radio show host, Brooke Gladstone, said that Chu “rejected the unwritten rule that the guy or gal with the most facts wins and replaced it with the appalling idea that you can outwit your opponent with the wily application of game theory.”
