Bachelor star Juan Pablo was confronted for his anti-gay comments while on The Women Tell All special on Monday night.
One of the eliminated contestants, Kelly Travis, told Pablo she was offended and hurt by his comments that a gay Bachelor would be more “pervert.”
“Coming from [having] a parent who is gay I was hurt by that,” said Travis, Fox News reports.
However, Pablo tried to defend himself, even bringing up the fact that he has gay friends.
“Obviously that situation was taken out of context. My gay friends told me right away, ‘People are taking that out of context.’ I’m not homophobic. I love gay people. They were born that way,” he said.
Bringing up the fact Pablo blamed his comments on the language barrier he faces, another eliminated contestant, Victoria Lima, was quick to point out that the word “pervert” is the same in both languages.
The remaining women left vying for Pablo’s heart are Nikki Ferrell and Clare Crawley.
