The Bachelorette couple Ashley Hebert and J.P. Rosenbaum have announced that they are having a baby!
In the newest issue of In Touch magazine, the couple, who have been together since season 7 of The Bachelorette in 2011, exclusively revealed their exciting news.
“I’m a little nervous, but we’re very excited,” she said. “I’ve wanted to have a child for a while.” Husband J.P. said, “It’s nice not to have to keep it a secret anymore. We’re beyond thrilled.”
The couple had been trying to get pregnant for two months before they learned that they were expecting. They found out the news at Bachelor stars Sean Low and Catherine Giudici’s wedding this past January. There were a few failed pregnancy tests, but while celebrating their friend’s marriage in Santa Barbara, California, they saw what they’ve always wanted to see. “There was legitimately a line,” J.P. said. “That’s when we officially found out-of course it would be at a Beachelor wedding!”
The two also had a televised wedding which took place on December 1, 2012 at the Langham Hotel in Pasadena, California. They had been engaged for about a year and a half and married in the presence of about 300 people, including friends, family and a camera crew. At the time, J.P. said, “We’ve got nothing but good things ahead. We’re not worried about the odds.” These good things are finally happening for the adorable couple!
According to E! News, the two met after Brad Womack rejected Ashley during The Bachelor’s 15th season. As second runner-up, she became the next bachelorette and chose J.P. to be her fiancé at the end of Season 7 of The Bachelorette.
Ashley is three months along and is due in October. This will be the happy couples first child together. Full details on they’re exciting news can be read in this weeks issue of In Touch magazine, which is on newsstands now!
