Baylor played in their first NCAA tournament game of the year, and they defeated Nebraska 74-60. The Bears are a No. 6 seed, and the No. 11 Cornhuskers are now 0-7 all-time in NCAA tournament play.
According to NY Times, Baylor has been on fire lately since struggling in January and losing eight of their first 10 conference games.
Cory Jefferson led the Bears in scoring with 16 points while also snagging six rebounds. Isaiah Austin, who is 7-foot-1, added 13 points and seven rebounds.
The Cornhuskers were led by Big Ten Player of the Year Terran Petteway with 18 points. Shavon Shields added 16 points and also had five rebounds.
According to The Associated Press, the frustration eventually got to Nebraska head coach Tim Miles, as he was ejected with 11 minutes remaining. He was named Big Ten Coach of the Year this season.
