Although Brad Pitt accepted the Oscar for Best Picture last night for his contributions as a producer on 12 Years a Slave, the actor revealed backstage that what he was doing on the morning of the Oscars was far less glamorous.

Pitt, who sat next to his fiancé Angelina Jolie at the awards Sunday night, said he did one of the most dreaded household chores on Sunday morning – picking up his dog’s waste.

He joked backstage, "I cleaned up dog poop today. In my bedroom,” Daily News reports.

While onstage, Pitt made a touching speech about making the film next to its director Steve McQueen. "It's important that we understand our history, not for any kind of guilt, but so we can better understand who we were, so we can better understand who we are,” he said.

Meanwhile, Pitt and Jolie remained tight-lipped about any future wedding plans. When asked about the upcoming wedding, Jolie would only sat “Sorry, I can’t,” Entertainmentwise reports.
