Wrestler A.J. Lee and actor Bruce Willis are celebrating their birthdays today.
Wrestler A.J. Lee turns 27 today. April Jeanette Mendez also known as “Miss April” has been wrestling for seven years. She exhibits an enormous amount of passion to her craft and has contributed to the wrestling world.
Originally from Union City, New Jersey, Mendez grew up wanting to wrestle professionally. She started wrestling school under trainer Jay Lethal in March 2007. That September on the 29th, Mendez began her wrestling career as “Miss April” on New Jersey’s independent circuit. Two years later she partnered with another female wrestler and won the Women Superstars Uncensored Tag Team Championships. In 2009 she joined World Wrestling Entertainment or WWE.
A.J. became General Manager of the TV show Raw July 2012.She has also won a few titles in her wrestling career including “Diva of the Year” in 2012 and winning WWE Divas Championship in 2013. Within the 2014 year, A.J. and other WWE employees will be voiced in the film Scooby-Doo! WrestleMania Mystery.
Some of A.J.’s famous moves are Black Widow, Shining Wizard, Schoolgirl and Hurricanrana. Her nicknames included “Crazy Chick” and “Geek Goddess.” Mendez was the first female winner of the “Superstar Challenge” at the WWE ’12 competition.
A.J. dated her trainer Jay Lethal. She began dating fellow wrestler CM Punk, or Phillip Jack Brooks, December 2013. Some of A.J.’s favorite comic book series are X-Men and Spider-Man.
Actor Bruce Willis turns 59 today. The producer, writer, musician and singer is originally from West Germany. Willis began is active entertainment career in 1980 and continues to perform for different audiences in various roles.
Willis participated in drama club in high school and later in Montclair State University’s in drama department for a few years. He then was featured in off-Broadway plays and a commercial for Levi’s. Willis’ then starred in the TV series Moonlighting for five years starting in 1985.
Famous film titles include Pulp Fiction, The Fifth Element, Sin City and The Die Hard series. Willis has received many awards and honors like national spokesman for Children in Foster Care in 2002 from President George W. Bush, Emmy Awards, Golden Globe Award and People’s Choice Award.
Willis married actress Demi Moore in 1987 and the two had three children Rumer, Scout LaRule and Tallulah Belle. The couple divorced in 2000. He dated a few women and engaged another before finally marrying current wife and model Emma Heming in 2009. The two had one daughter Mabel Ray.
