NBA coach Jason Kidd, singer Chaka Khan, and actress Keri Russell are all celebrating their birthdays today.

Jason Kidd, 41

Retired NBA basketball player and current NBA coach, Jason Kidd, turns 41 today. Kidd was selected second overall by the Dallas Mavericks in the 1994 NBA Draft. During his first year with Dallas, Kidd earned Rookie of the Year. from 1996 to 2001, Kidd played for the Phoenix Suns. Then from 2001 to 2008, he played for the New Jersey Nets.

In the middle of the 2007-08 season, Kidd was traded back to Dallas. He won his only NBA Championship with Dallas in 2011. He finished his career while in 2013 with the New York Knicks. He is now lead coach of the Brooklyn Nets.

Kidd is currently married to former model, Porchla Coleman, and has 5 kids; 3 from his previous marriage.

Chaka Khan, 61

Singer and songwriter Chaka Khan turns 61 today. Khan began her career in the '70s with the group Rufus. She released her debut solo album, Chaka in 1978, which featured the hit "I'm Every Woman." Her second solo album, Naughty, went Gold.

Throughout her career, Khan released 12 albums as a solo act. She has been nominated for 22 Grammys, winning 10; 3 wins with Rufus, and 7 as a solo act.

Khan married twice and has two children. She is a vegan and explained that she adopted the diet to lose weight as well as battle high blood pressure and Type-2 Diabetes.

Keri Russell, 38

Actress and dancer Keri Russell turns 38 today. She started her career on Disney's Mickey Mouse Club from 1991 to 1993. in 1996, she had a recurring role on the short lived teen soap opera Malibu Shores. She then appeared in a few television movies before landing the role of Felicity Porter in Felicity in 1998. She played Felicity until the shows end in 2002, and won a Golden Globe.

Russell appeared in several films including Mission: Impossible III, Waitress, August Rush, Extraordinary Measures, and Dark Skies. Russell had a recurring role for FOX's Running Wild in 2010 until its cancellation in 2011.

Russell married carpenter, Shane Deary, in 2007. The couple have two children, and separated in 2013. Russell currently plays Elizabeth Jennings, a undercover KGB spy who is living as an American, on the FX hit series The Americans.
