Actors and '90s heartthrobs Freddie Prinze Jr. and James Van Der Beek are celebrating their birthdays today.

Freddie Prinze Jr., 38

Actor, producer, and actor Freddie Prinze Jr. turns 38 today. Prinze had a guest role in the television series Family Matters in 1995. He made his film debut in 1996 with To Gillian on her 37th Birthday. He gained most of his success after starring in films that were geared towards a teenage audience; I Know What You Did Last Summer (1997), I Still Know What You Did Last Summer (1998), She's All That (1999).

After starring in a few unsuccessful films, Prinze went on to play Fred Jones in the live-action version of Scooby-Doo, and reprised the role for Scooby-Doo: Monsters Unleashed. He has made many guest appearances in shows including Friends, George Lopez, Robot Chicken, and Psych. He had a recurring role in the eighth season of 24.

In 2000, Prinze was named one of People magazine's "50 Most Beautiful People in the World." He is currently involved with World Wrestling Entertainment, serving as a producer and director. He is currently married to actress Sarah Michelle Gellar, and have two children together.

James Van Der Beek, 37

Actor James Van Der Beek turns 37 today. His career started in theater at the age of 15. He made his big screen debut in the 1995 film Angus. He attended Drew University but dropped out to focus on his acting career.

in 1998, Van Der Beek landed the leading role on the popular television series Dawson's Creek, alongside Katie Holmes, Michelle Williams, and Joshua Jackson. He also starred in films including Varsity Blues, Texas Rangers, The Rules of Attraction, and most recently Labor Day.

Van Der Beek was also named one of People magazine's "50 Most Beautiful People in the World." He had a recurring role on ABC's Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23 until it's cancellation. He will now star in CBS's new comedy, Friends with Better Lives, set to premier March 31. Van Der Beek is currently married to business consultant Kimberly Brook, and they have three daughters.
