Boston Celtics forward, Gerald Wallace, will be out the rest of the season due to a torn meniscus that will require surgery. Wallace received an MRI on his knee on Thursday due to swelling he experienced after Wednesday’s victory over Atlanta.

The veteran player has been playing from pain due to bone spurs in his ankles as well. He was scheduled to have them operated on after the season, but that surgery could be moved up. According to espn Celtics head coach Brad Stevens said, “Gerald's a warrior, he plays through anything and everything... The next step for him will be determined in the next couple of days, but obviously we want to prioritize his health."

Wallace is not the only Celtics player dealing with an injury. According to the bostonglobe Kelly Olynyk is doubtful for Saturday’s game against Indiana but may return Wednesday against the Warriors due to a sprained left toe and Avery Bradley is dealing with a sprained right ankle.
