Chelsea Handler plans to leave her late night talk show on E!, ‘Chelsea Lately’, when the show’s contract expires at the end of the year.
Irving Azoff, Handler’s manager, told The Hollywood Reporter that she will be ending her eight-year long run on the show once the contract expires later this year.
“Chelsea intends to leave when her contract expires,” Azoff said in a statement. “She hired me to figure out her life after E! We have at least seven suitors and many ideas.”
This may not come as a surprise, as Handler spoke about her discontent with E! earlier this month when she appeared on the Howard Stern Show, according to USA Today.
“They don't know what they're doing," the 39-year-old comedian said. "They have no ideas. It's a failure.”
Handler is currently the only female late night talk show host. Her manager added that plans for the future may include another late-night show on a different network or a radio presence.
