Chris Brown has been kicked out of rehab and was arrested by the Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies.

CNN reports that the 24-year-old singer was kicked out of the Malibu facility he was receiving treatment for the past four months.

In 2009 Brown assaulted his ex-girlfriend Rihanna and was sentenced to five years probation and 1,400 hours of community service. The altercation occurred when the then couple were in a rented Lamborghini on a Hollywood street. Brown pleaded guilty to felony assault in June 2009. During his five year probation Brown checked into rehab.

The Los Angeles Times added that when Brown was being arrested he was being “cooperative” with the authorities.

Despite the recent news Brown’s parole officer has said that he has made progress thus far. His parole officer said that Brown, “continues to make great improvement" in dealing with his anger management and drugs.

Brown’s probation has been retracted twice in the last year. The first incident involved him allegedly punching a man on the street near the White House. The other incident involved Brown’s mother. Brown and his mother didn’t see eye to eye about staying at rehab, and he was upset about her persistence to keep him in the facility.

The rehab facility released a statement that detailed Brown’s hostile behavior.

"Mr. Brown preceded to walk outside and pick up a rock and threw it through his mother's car window and it shattered."

Several sources have said that the reason being Brown’s violation of parole and arrest is unknown.
