Actress Claire Holt is reportedly leaving The CW’s The Vampire Diaries spinoff The Originals. While she will no longer be a series regular, the door is open for her to do guest appearances.

A source for TheWrap said that Holt’s final episode was this past Tuesday’s show. She played Rebekah, one of the first Vampires in the world of The Vampire Diaries. Her character just left New Orleans after a fight with Klaus (Joseph Morgan), her brother.

According to E! News’ sources say that there is “definitely” an opportunity for her to come back as a guest star. That could be as early as this season, but it is more likely that she will not be seen until an early season two episode.

Holt’s character debuted on The Vampire Diaries in 2011 in a three-episode guest arc. However, her character became a fan favorite and she continued to appear on the show. That lead to her getting the lead female role on The Originals.

The show was already picked up for a second season. It airs on Tuesdays at 8 p.m.
