NBC's season six of The Voice is already underway but the show has a surprise for fans. This season will featured a new rebooted round of the show and will have Chris Martin of Coldplay as a universal advisor to all four coaches.

This new round on the show will be replacing the knockout rounds. This section of the competition will feature contestants who will be paired off to perform the same song separately in a sudden elimination match. These rounds will start on March 31st, Billboard reported.

Each coach will be allowed one steal in this round.

Coldplay's frontman can be seen on on the upcoming March 31, April 1 and April 7 episodes of The Voice.

The news of Martin arriving on the Voice stage was announced via Snapchat after the second night of the battle rounds came to an end, USA Today reported.

Changing up the show is not new to the Voice, last season it was introduced that vocalists could be saved using Twitter as fans were encouraged to Tweet into save their favorite artists.
