Colin Powell honored Throwback Thursday by posting a selfie he took 60 years ago. He took a moment to tease Ellen DeGeneres, who broke a Twitter record with the selfie she posted during the Oscars a few weeks back.

“Throwback Thursday - I was doing selfies 60 years before you Facebook folks. Eat your heart out Ellen!” he wrote on Facebook.

USA Today notes Powell’s selfie shows the 76-year-old former secretary of state in a black and white photo, posing in front of a mirror. The camera he’s holding is from the 1950s.

The photo was only posted a few hours ago and it already has over 40,000 “likes” and over 10,000 shares. The selfie Powell is referring to in regards to DeGeneres is a picture she took with stars like Meryl Streep, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, Bradley Cooper and more during the Academy Awards.
The photo has over 3 million retweets on Twitter, which is the most any Twitter post has ever received.
