The Duke porn star, Belle Knox, made her stripping debut at a strip joint in New York City on Tuesday night. She has gained fame since being outed by a fellow student last month and although she tried to keep her identity concealed, she eventually revealed who she was.
“This is my first time dancing,” she told New York Post before hitting the stage. “I’m nervous, but I think it’ll be really empowering.”
She said of her song choice, “I chose the song ‘Cherry Pie.’ It’s young, it’s cute, it’s fun to dance to. I’m still shocked that I have fans. I few months ago, I was like a normal girl.”
Knox’s routine lasted for five minutes at the HeadQuarters club in Manhattan. She said she didn’t really have time to prepare ahead of time and studied other strippers on YouTube.
Daily Mail reports she wouldn’t confirm how much she was paid for her first stripping appearance, but does plan on turning her newfound fame into a lucrative career in the sex industry.
It was revealed Knox working as a porn star to pay her way through the North Carolina school last month. She has since appeared on Piers Morgan Live and Huffpost Live.
