Ellen Page came out in February during a Human Rights Campaign, telling the world that she is gay. She realized the positive impact that her coming out might have and made her decision to do so based on that desire, to help others.
"I’m here today because I am gay... and because maybe I can make a difference. To help others have an easier and more hopeful time. Regardless, for me, I feel a personal obligation and a social responsibility,” Page said.
Page is best known for her roles in Juno, X-Men films, and inception.
